Charter
The purpose and scope of this committee is as follows:
- Ensures the community’s viability and sustainability through monitoring and advocating on significant land use, urban planning, architectural, historic preservation, environmental, and housing and commercial development issues.
- Members of this committee meet with developers who are considering projects in our neighborhoods and work with the City of San José to have developers hold community meetings to discuss proposals.
- The committee also represents the Association at Planning Commission and City Council meetings and works with neighbors who want to attend and speak at public hearings. Committee members are advocates for our neighborhoods and we invite your participation.
